A 1000 lb cage in 50 × 50 mm square steel, standing 86 inches with 41.3" × 39.7" of working space inside. Twelve safety bar positions at 3.14-inch spacing.

In Use

This is the frame you build a gym around. Squat inside it with the safety bars set below your bottom position, bench inside it with the J-hooks at chest height, pull from the bar across the top. Twelve safety bar positions at close spacing mean the catch height is right rather than approximately right, which is what lets you train to failure alone. The inside is wide enough to move in without touching the uprights.

The steel is pickled and painted before finishing, which is what keeps a cage from rusting in a garage.

Why We Stock It

A cage is the difference between training hard and training carefully. With 800 lb safety bars set where you want them, you can fail a squat alone and walk away from it. Everything else follows: pull-ups off the top, presses inside, accessories added over time. Give it the floor and it is the last rack you buy.

Good to Know

This is a two-person build and it arrives in two packages. Leave every bolt loose until the whole frame is assembled, then tighten in sequence — tightening as you go is the most common reason a component will not fit. The lat pulldown attachment is not included.
